Tim Murphy graduated in law from University College Cork (BCL, 1988) and the University of Warwick (LLM, 1989). In 2002, he completed his Ph.D. in theology at St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth, Ireland. He held law faculty positions at universities in the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Iceland, and Malaysia, and from 2015 to 2019, he was a CONEX-Marie Curie researcher at Carlos III University of Madrid.
