On 15 September 2026, Digno Montalván Zambrano, member of the Research Group on Law and Justice (GIDyJ) and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Spanish Centre for Political and Constitutional Studies (CEPC), participated as a speaker in the Masterclass “Natures and Rights: Disputes over the Representation of the Non-Human from an Ecocentric Perspective”, organized by the Constitutional Court of Colombia.
The session addressed the relationship between nature, rights and ecological constitutionalism, with particular attention to the legal debates surrounding the representation of non-human entities from an ecocentric perspective.
Montalván Zambrano's participation provided an opportunity to discuss the contemporary challenges of ecological constitutionalism and the legal debates surrounding the recognition and protection of rights associated with non-human entities.
