Simposio Internacional Redescubriendo el mito de Medusa: Intersecciones entre el Género, la Cultura y el Derecho

With the support and funding of the Ministry of Equality, the Institute of Women, and the Research Group on Law and Justice—affiliated with the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid—the International Symposium “Rediscovering the Myth of Medusa: Intersections between Gender, Culture and Law” will take place on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2026, in Room 0.B.06 (Salón de Grados) at the Puerta de Toledo Campus of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

The event is conceived as an academic space for critical reflection aimed at fostering dialogue between Law, the Humanities, and Culture from a gender and intersectional perspective. It arises from the need to open spaces for exchange in which legal disciplines can be enriched by the arts, literature, and philosophy, recognizing that cultural productions are living expressions of contemporary social and legal issues.

The Symposium aspires to establish itself as a renewed academic platform that promotes intergenerational and interdisciplinary research networks, encourages the participation of new generations of researchers, and contributes to rethinking Law through plural, inclusive, and transformative perspectives.
