On Thursday, June 16, 2022 (12:00 PM, Madrid) Professor Gregorio Robles Morchón, Associate Professor of Philosophy of Law (Universitat de Illes Balears) and Full Member of the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, will participate in the 70th session of the Amuchastegui Permanent Seminar (SPA) with the presentation: Communicative Theory of Legal Decisions.
The session will revolve around his latest publication, which completes his work on Theory of Law: Fundamentals of the Communicative Theory of Law by exploring the Theory of Legal Decisions (Volume III). This volume analyzes the various types of decisions that occur in contemporary legal contexts. Special attention is given to constitutional theory, legislation theory, and judicial decision theory, as well as the implicit decisions found in customs and legal principles. The rhetoric and legal argumentation (arguments, fallacies, and evidence), which accompany all decision-making modalities, also receive extensive treatment. The volume concludes with reflections on the theory of environmental and extra-environmental justice.
